Resumen del perfil
Johanna is a Lecturer in Politics of Latin America and the Program Director of the Master in Latin American Studies at the Institute of the Americas, University College of London. She holds a BSc (Honours) degree in Political Science and International Relations, a Master of Research in Latin American Studies at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, and she has completed her Ph.D. in Government at the University of Essex. Her research interests lie at the intersection of International Relations, Peace Studies, and Political psychology. Johanna is especially interested in the influence of international actors on the local dynamics of civil society actors and how they develop collective action strategies amidst war to build reconciliation. She is particularly interested in Latin America and the Global South. Beyond that, she researches various topics, including gender and diverse populations (Indigenous, Afro-descendants), inclusion, transitional justice, multiculturality, and research methods.
