Héctor Morales-Muñoz is a senior advisor in climate diplomacy and security at adelphi in Berlin. He is also a research fellow at the Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF). His research focuses on the assessment of impacts and mechanisms of environmental peacebuilding interventions, particularly on sustainable land use systems implementations, cero deforestation value chains and environmental governance arrangements. He has over twelve years of experience working in governance and participatory processes, peacebuilding, transitional justice, migration and rural development at international organizations such as the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in South America, Europe and Asia. He is a political scientist and holds a MSc in Development Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Currently, he is a PhD candidate at the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin.
