Cristina is a psychologist and magister in Psychology at the Andes University (Colombia). Her thesis was about characterising the emotional performances of the stories of young people affected by political violence in Colombia. Besides, she got another magister in Conflict, Territory and Culture at the South Colombian University (Colombia). Her research was about the recovery of family memories of a family displaced by political violence in the region south of Colombia. The fundamental theoretical guidelines for that research were memory, family and emotions.
She is a professor of social psychology at the South Colombian University (Colombia). Cristina is the leader of social and research projects about the culture of peace, the council of children in the city, reflexive groups with displaced families, reconstruction of memories with victims, and characterising psychosocial trauma in victims. Nowadays, she is researching the benefits of arts in people with social vulnerability and using qualitative research methods.
